Arícera is a typical village from Douro Valley, in the municipality of Armamar, on the South Bank of the Alto Douro wine region, with 157 inhabitants (census 2011). The houses, mostly of granite, feature traditional architecture. It’s very old village, which have been "villa" in Roman times. The main activity is subsistence agriculture but, in certain properties is already practiced a modern agriculture, centered in Apple production.
