Aquilino Ribeiro, portuguese writer, was born in the village of Carregal, municipality of Sernancelhe. He passed through the village of Soutosa, municipality of Moimenta da Beira, where is today situated a library and foundation, with his name. Aquilino Ribeiro studied at the Jesuit College, Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lapa. Outros Tempos suggests passing through these places to the writer's evocation, considered one of the most productive novelists of the first half of the 20th century in Portugal.


This great figure of Portuguese literature, with bassinet near the Douro Valley, have as most emblematic works, "Terras do Demo" and "Quando os Lobos Uivam", among many others.
The most opportune dates to get the better understanding of this Portuguese writer, are the birth (13 September) and the death date (May 27).
